This is the personal channel of Shawn Sparks, editor and director. While I work more in the corporate sector these days, this is where I will place any passion projects or things that I have done on the side. This includes any previous music videos I have done, my work with Machine Head, and anything else I feel like sharing. I hope you enjoy watching my videos as much as I did creating them.
For anyone interested, this is the current set rig I am using for editing:

The first video I ever directed, shot and edited, and it shows! Still kind of nice for a trip down memory lane. The song is "Meantime" by my buddies in Unjust and was shot in Portland and at various venues around the Bay Area.

Machine Head Burn My Eyes Promo
Переглядів 16 тис.16 років тому
This is a promo I cut from footage provided by Roadrunner records for a special edition CD.
You can just hear how Metal Rob was . Kinda Sad really.
Tuning ?
😂😂😂
Imperium Days turn blue to gray Season either There
10:02 song here please?
Their radio single pins and needles that essentially got them dropped
What tuning
Got this on my playlist. Like metallic back then but MH jams it better..
The drummer use a rush t shirt Signals woaw i love this video.
Quite difficult to see what was thrown at 11:21. A guitar?
Its weird i always thought robb played the solo
11 years later their music had gone downhill thanks a lot Robb smh
I wanna hear that radio single and see that EPK.
It’s called “Pin and Needles” the music was great but the singing was just bad
I think he turned it into the song song army of the sun for roadrunner united.
Robb should admit it that he loves the "song that shall remain nameless" - The Toxic Waltz!
Does he say that he hate it??
@@Denmark_1974 Yes. On the old Machine Head forum, The Frontlines, he would throw a hissy fit about that song.
@@Denmark_1974 If you was on The Frontlines message board, over a period of years he let his feelings known about that song. When the Frontliners voted on songs Machine Head should cover, this song came up and his feelings were there for all to see. Just in case you didn't know,The Frontlines was a Machine Head forum that was ran independently from the band initially. Then Robb got his paws on it and the fun banter and chat was newtered over time. The board morphed over the years becoming The Frontlines but was shut down by Robb when his leftist beliefs overroad the general middle of the road comments from the majority of the posters. Yeah, there were a few idiots on the left and the right but you get that anywhere but Robb decided to shut down one of the best message boards for the first 20 years of the Internet. I can't complain too much. Because of that message board I got a chance to meet the band on multiple occaisons. Got to go back stage at the Warfield and chant on the track "Clenching the Fists of Dissent" - look for the credits for Mr and Mrs Swampy in the liner note. I fucking love this band to Hell and back but I think Robb has become a fucking dick in the last few years... ;)
I think he went on stage with exodus and did that song 😂
@@Swampster70 He's an ignorant, intolerable communist sympathizer. Fabulous musician, moronic when he talks about politics.
Through The Ashes was the best comeback in metal history
Ficou mais raivosa que a original.
Wishing this were available on streaming services...used to hear it all the time on satellite/cable radio
Joel Harold on iTunes
The ending :0)
Love the chimaira shirt and shout out by Rob since both bands are awesome groove metal bands!
This is truly immense
Love how Lars gets credit here!!! ... And Hetters obviously, but then again everyone knows Hetfield knows how to move his pick downwards rather well.
7:26 Cliff did that with his fkn fingers!
So what?
@@mlody969 It's impressive. That's a two year old comment and I wasn't being derogatory towards Adam Duce. Did you think it was?
Cool to see Dave give Lars props for his drumming. I also grew up with Lars. And respected him. Yes we ALL know he doesn't have it anymore. But some of these internet bastards troll Lars and can barely manage the mouse in their hand. 🤔
Where I can find this CD in physical form my friend
Uh yeah... You could say they made a pretty good follow up to Through the Ashes.
Dave McClain is the man Phil looks like an ugly teenager ah ah
Wtf lars played his ass off. Worst drummer ever lmfao
Rikki Newell back then he was good
the wrist game
Look at Adam's right hand @ 7:25. Dude's a fucking monster at picking! Godammit...
Remember Cliff Burton. The god of bass guitar. He did it with his fingers.
Are this guitars classical guitar ?
yes :)
caliban shirt - cool :D
bad ass cover..... Great job
Would love to hear these guys jam Damage Inc.
I wanna know the other song the fans chose, fuck coulda been anything
+peaner083 I think it was Hallowed be Thy Name.
The "song that shall remain nameless" was The Toxic Waltz.
12:19 That was such a good call. The Blackening....
Lewis Griffiths I was just about to comment this.
Love this bAnd
did they use Drop B on this one or Drop C#?
probably D Standard
They never use D Standard, so I doubt they used it on this one. Sounds pretty much like Drop C# to me, but I dunno
As far as I know they dont tune to the standard 440hz frequency I think its around 428hz then they tune to whatever they want so theyre always slightly off of the usual tuning if you get me
***** ah, thanks man. totally forgot about that
Randy K. He said that they used C#, not drop C#.
Can anyone find this full show?
most badass cover i have ever heard of a metallica song and this is coming from a true metallica fan
"And just, pff, fuck dude Its battery it's heavy as fuck"
Ya know how each song from Master of Puppets was covered by a different band?
Holy shit, I remember the name Tharsh!
Sadly not that many lessons were learned and America keeps on moving in the destructive way in did before it happened, maybe even more so.
thank you Phil Demmel for not retiring from music!! \m/
Sincerely one of my favorite songs that isn't of the metal variety. This whole album was just an absolute gem of the rock scene that unfortunately went unnoticed by way too many.
phil with a mustache, whaaaaaa
Dave has a Signals shirt? Dude, thats fucking awesome!
I would definitely LOVE to listen to that version of Toxic Waltz!
awesome cover Machinehead are kings!
This would be my favourite cover id say, they did it justice definatley
Pins and Needles turned into Army of the Sun? Awesome.
